Cutting her hair short, wearing loose t-shirt and pants, delivering Zajjang noodles on her motor, audiences were full of doubts after seeing the Eun Chan on screen. Is this same person as the lovable princess in Goong? Not only that, Eun Hye’s choice of dramas and roles caught a lot of audiences off guard. She doesn’t look like a new-comer who had only acted in 3 dramas and her popularity continued to rise. Moreover, its not only her popularity is on the rise, her co-stars including Joo Ji Hoon, Oh Man Suk, Gong Yoo’s popularity is on the rise as well. As such, we can see the influence she has. After this, in what form will YEH attract the eyes of the audiences? We’ll have to anticipate YEH’s decision.

The promotion of Coffee Prince in Taiwan started in 2008 . How was the response?

I’m very thankful for the large popularity and support received for Coffee Prince. It’s very special to be able to receive love and concern even from overseas, that’s why I’m more touched after knowing this.

A lot of people said that they cannot imagine YEH outside of the character Go Eun Chan. How do you feel about this?
I think that it is the highest praise that can be received by an actress. My character is not exactly like Go Eun Chan in real life. To be specific, there are some similarities between Go Eun Chan and me, but in the beginning when I had to act as Go Eun Chan, I didn’t know where to start as I didn’t have any experience on how to act like a guy.

What was your feeling after being offered a role which you have to act like a guy?

Frankly speaking, I’ll be lying if I tell you that I did not have any pressure. After accepting role and being told I had to cut my hair short, I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning as I’m quite tall and big size, so after cutting my hair short, I’ll look like a very healthy boy (laugh). But I liked the script after reading the first page and I upon reading the 2nd page, I liked the character of Go Eun Chan more and more. I know that this is a role which is not easy to portray, but because of this I’ll want to give it a try.

I thought ‘there’ll always be a way! Because I’m a pretty girl, there’s why I cannot become an actress (laugh)”, but my opinions changed later. “I cannot give up the chance of being recognized as an actress. I met and talked a lot with the producer and gradually have the confidence of being able to accept the character. Therefore, I agreed to take on the role merely 1 week after being offered the role. I made some preparation in order to act like a guy.

After the confirmation of my participation in the drama, I started to observe only guys (laugh). Even when I read magazines, I’ll only look at the hair styles for guys. When I watch movies or dramas, I’ll also only look at the male characters. When I walk on the street, I also started looking at guys only. I realized that guys and girls react differently even when they are thrown in the same situation. I observed and analyzed the detailed difference between how a guy eat, walk and talk as compared to a girl. After that, I also made some effort in order to make my voice hoarse like a guy. I will take notice of those stuffs and now, I’m not used to it instead when I sounded feminine.

Your short hair suits you well. What was your feeling when you were getting your hair cut?

In the beginning, I was hesitating about cutting my hair short. As I grow older, I got more “You’re prettier now” praises, besides that, I had bad memories of the short hair I had last time.
But if I thought that it would be good if you look at Eun Chan’s appearance and you’ll feel her cuteness right away. It’s not important how others look at you. Therefore the week after I decided to take up the role, I decided to strike while the iron is hot and cut my hair short. At first my hair was cut a bit too short and I was not used to it.
That hairstyle was quite cute…(laugh)It was a bit shorter compared to my hairstyle now. It’s quite scary to cut my hair so short suddenly, but I didn’t cry when I my hair was being cut! (laugh) My hair is slightly neater and longer now. Hope it’ll grow to my shoulders soon.

I was very happy during my preparation before the shooting. I slept well during my free time.

Is it hard dressing up as Eun Chan?
No matter how much Eun Chan looks like a guy, she’s still a girl afterall. Both me and the audience are well aware that the Eun Chan in Coffee Prince is still a girl, therefore I don’t have to think too deep when I was acting as Eun Chan (?). To me, the masculine and feminine side of Eun Chan has to be managed well. I don’t know whether I did it well.

What do you think is Eun Chan’s charm?
Eun Chan is a very straightforward/frank person who doesn’t know how to conceal her feelings. Therefore even without the cute clothing or cute expression, Eun Chan is still the cute Eun Chan. I feel that is her charm.

You give us an impression of being not fearful and did your best to act out this character.

If you’re talking about feeling fearful, I should say that I was fearful in the beginning as I was afraid of not being about to do a good job acting as Go Eun Chan. But the more I read the scripts the more I feel that I should do something for this character. Should I make some sacrifice for the character and whether I can go to that extent? That’s also the case for Eun Chan. Cute, Pretty, no matter what I have to forsake that right from the beginning. I’m still a girl afterall and sometime when I see myself on screen, I’ll feel desolate (?) as I don’t wish to see myself look ugly too. But even though I may say this, it’s actually only my feelings at that moment. Instead, I’m happy being the Eun Chan, from behaving like a guy in the beginning to being the completely unfeminine Eun Chan.

In specific, which aspects (of the drama) make you happy?
As compared to the others, I only need a very short time to get ready (laugh). I do not have to put on makeup most of the time. Even my hair needed very little styling. Among all the dramas I have acted in, only this drama make me feel that I have sufficient sleep. It’s the same with the clothing, most of the time, I have been wearing fitting clothes but Eun Chan always wear loose pants coupled with big sized t-shirt, therefore it’s good that I do not have to be mindful of my figure.

The tomboyish appearance has become the talk of the town.
Eun Chan’s family is not very rich, even though she’s very young, she still have to take on the role of a parent, so its impossible for her to be wearing expensive or new clothes. The producer needs Eun Chan to be a person who will be excited/happy to buy a 20 000 won clothes even though she only has 30 000 won pocket money. Therefore Eun Chan does not have pretty clothes that looked like they have just been taken out of the wardrobe. Instead all the clothes we chose for Eun Chan are those kind of clothes that looked as if they have been thrown anywhere in the house, and those kind of clothes that you just change into (without much consideration) when you get out of bed.

There were lots of scene of you gobbling down/stuffing yourself with food.
In the beginning, I specially put on more weight to make myself look plumper, but as there’s a lot of eating scenes, I gradually put on weight as the filming progresses. The producer will look at the monitor and teased (during filming) “Here it comes, here it comes, here comes the meat~” (laugh).

Warm hearted Gong Yoo and Carefree Lee Seon Gyun

How do you feel working with the producer?
I was slightly trembling with nervousness during the first day of filming. I was also very nervous the day before the actual filming started and couldn’t sleep the night before. I don’t recall how I managed to act the scenes.(?) After hearing the word “CUT”, I’ll be filled with energy/drive once I hear a word of praise from the producer. Before every scene, the producer will ask me “How are you going to act out the scene?” At first I was a bit worried, but the producer’s thinking is similar to mine. During later phrase of the filming, we understand each other perfectly and are able to communicate effortlessly and get along very well with each other.

When acting as Eun Chan, did you feel anxious hiding Eun Chan’s identity as a girl from Han Kyul? [Did you feel anxious when Eun Chan kept her identity hidden fromHan Kyul?]
After Han Kyul knew that Eun Chan is a girl, he was furious with Eun Chan for lying to him. After that, both of them went through a lot of trials. At that time, I had a lot of crying scenes for the whole of that week and it was quite hard on me. But I think that it’s because of those pain which they have gone through which allowed us to see both of them being blissful together in the end.

You acted as a couple with Gong Yoo (on screen) what kind of person is he?
Gong Yoo is a person who is able to communicate sincerely with his co-star. Not only will he think about how he will act, he will also match/coordinate his acting to match up with his co-stars. That’s why I was able to work together well with him. Maybe it’s because I don’t look like a girl (laugh). I don’t really know much about Gong Yoo before working together with him on Coffee Prince, but after working together, I find that he’s really a warm person. I learnt a lot from him, he also taught me a lot of things and helped me a lot during filming. Without Gong Yoo, I think that I would only be able to display half of the Eun Chan we see now.

Did you give Gong Yoo any words of encouragements before his enlistment?
The cast attended his farewell party that time, but I wasn’t feeling well that day, so I wasn’t able to attend it. I gave him a call to bid farewell to him and gave him some words of encouragements.

Was it hard for you during the scene where you had to carry Gong Yoo?
Even though I also carried other celebrities on variety shows I appeared in last time, it’s slightly different in a drama. Not only do I have to carry Gong Yoo normally, but Han Kyul was also supposed to be drank and weak in that situation. It was really tiring that time and he was really very heavy (laugh). But in the role of Eun Chan, I have to act as if he was not heavy at all, so it’s much harder.

Eun Chan was attracted to Han Seong in the beginning and only fell for Han Kyul later. Can you comprehend Eun Chan’s feeling?
Han Seong ajusshi is a very steady/dependable person who is like a father (to Eun Chan) and I think that was the reason Eun Chan was attracted to him. On the other hand, the reason why Eun Chan was attracted to Han Kyul is completely different. Eun Chan never had experience of being loved/doted by anybody before, so I think it’s because of this that made her fall for Han Kyul. Even though it seems like she fell for both of them at the same time, I think that it is quite a possible situation. But in this situation, there is only 1 person whom Eun Chan truly loved.

What kind of person is Lee Sung Gyun?
I feel that I’m not in a position to judge (?) my senior, but he’s really a carefree person. I feel very comfortable and happy when I’m with him.

Treated like a brother by everybody

It’s your 2nd time working together with Kim Chang Wan right?
Frankly speaking, I didn’t get to talk to him during the filming of The Vineyard Man. So I had an impression that he was a bit hard to get along with. However after interaction, I think that he’s a very warm/gentle and outstanding senior. I’m very fortunate to be able to be friends with him.

What are your feelings of the 3 princes?
3 of them are very charismatic. Dong Wook is a great actor and he is also a very cute and friendly person in real life.
Eon is a very multi-talented guy and he seems to know how to do everything. From radio DJ, club DJ, and then to acting, modeling…. He’s a very warm person.
Jae Wook gives me an impression that he’s cold and cool at first, but after interacting with him, you’ll realized that he’s actually a warm person, just like a friendly brother. He also has a very individual fashion sense and likes to dress up.

Heard that everybody treated you like a guy.
I have already expected that, so I didn’t feel desolated about it. But I didn’t expect everybody to treat me like a guy to that extent (laugh). They joke around with me like I’m their younger brother. Even the producer comforted me by saying “You don’t have to cover it up, it’s more like Eun Chan this way” when she saw me getting worried over the pimples on my face. Thinking about it, they often mix Dong Wook and me up. Maybe it’s because Dong Wook have quite feminine features (?).It seems like even the producer is unable to differentiate us from our back view,

Which scene is still fresh in your mind?
The scene in episode 10 when Eun Chan was walking with Han Kyul and said “How? I don’t look like a guy or girl. I’m very afraid, but I can’t say anything…” and cried. In the beginning, I tried very hard to make myself cry, but I was too preoccupied wanting to act it out well, and it made me too tensed up. Even though tears were welling up in my eyes, I just couldn’t act out like what I wanted to. I felt suffocated and it was hard to even breathe. After that, I decided not to be too mindful of being able to act well but to let my feelings lead me. At that moment, the feeling of my heart being emptied overwhelmed me and tears started streaming down my face. That was the most memorable scene. I feel that rather than the satisfaction of my improvement in acting, it was more of being able to display well on screen the heart break and unwillingness of Eun Chan to give up the relationship.

Who is the one who influences the mood/atmosphere on the set?
It’s the producer. The laughter of the producer is very unique (laugh), it can ease the tensed atmosphere on set.

Everybody said that Eun Hye is very feminine. What do you think your character is like (in real life)?
Ya~ I like to help others and I think that I often observe people’s words and expressions. (laugh) I’m also that type of person that will go all out and work hard till the end (to achieve what I want) regardless of anything. And…. I like to cook. Sometimes I’ll also bring the food I cooked to the filming set.

Feeling sad after having to separate from the producer who helped her become a real actress

The music (songs) used in Coffee Prince is well-liked. Which is your favorite music (song) used in the Coffee Prince drama?

The song by Kim Yeon Wu我不懂爱情“I don’t know love”. (I think the song she’s referring to is나는사랑이뭔지모르나봐요).Actually this song was already in 逃避爱情Escape from love [2006](direct translation) OST, that’s why I didn’t recommend it to the producer. But one day when I was watching the drama, this song was played in the scene in Episode 9 when Han Kyul and Eun Chan were sad/hurt in the relationship. At that moment, I had goose bumps (when watching the scene with that song).
From that moment on, I decided to like the producer from the bottom of my heart (laugh).

We heard that the drawings on the windows of the Coffee Prince café was drawn by you personally.
I try as much as possible to take part in things which I can do for the drama. I’m a person who likes to draw and in the beginning, I was just scrawling. For example the note on the milk carton where Eun Chan gave to Han Kyul, the drawing which was pasted on Han Kyul’s door and the illustrations on the windows of Coffee Prince café etc was by me. As I didn’t have any trainings/courses (in drawings) before, the stuffs I drew looked abstract (laugh).

You often take on-the-scene photos during you free time on the set?
(the reason I like to take photos) Is to put them up on my CY, but the main reason why I like to take on-the-scene photos is because I want to capture those stuffs I see and store them down as memory. If I don’t take photos, it’ll only be stored in my mind. I find it a pity, so I started taking photos and the next time when I see those photos, I’ll be able to remember “ah, it was like that that time...”

After the filming of Coffee Prince, it’s hard for you to depart from Eun Chan’s character right?
During the filming of the special episode, my tears started rolling uncontrollably in the BBQ café. I cried continuously for almost 8 hours. I hate to part with Eun Chan, and it’s especially painful having to part with the producer. During the few months after the filming ended, I kept calling the producer up on the phone. I really hope to be able to meet up with the producer often, but I thought that it should be time for me leave Eun Chan and start to prepare for other projects so I restrained myself (laugh).

What did you get from “Coffee Prince”?
Lee Yoon Jung producer enabled me to become a real actress. Before this, no matter what I do, I was only the topic of a conversation during people’s casual conversation and it’s easy for me to be classified as a celebrity with a lot of gossips. However thanks to the producer, I was finally able to ditch the image of being known merely a celebrity with a lot of gossips. I feel that this will allow me to be a step closer to being a real actress. I’m very fortunate to be able to be known as an actress and also very happy to be voted as the most anticipated female actress born in the year of rat.

Do you like coffee?
I still didn’t know how to differentiate the taste of the various types of coffee after Coffee Prince wrapped up. But now I’m deeply drawn to coffee. I especially like American style coffee!

Will still go there!

Being an actress, what do you think is your strength?
Among all those praises I heard, the one which make me most happy is “Yoon Eun Hye, we can’t predict what kind of acting you will be showing us next.” I didn’t have any formal training on acting before, therefore I do not have a particular strong preconceived idea on acting. When I’m acting, I don’t stick to a particular rule or model, maybe that’s the so-called strength. Even though it is important to learn proper acting techniques, but I feel that it is also very important to be able to grasp your own performance (?) and to check your own performance on-the-scene as I feel that it is very important to be able to understand your own acting abilities. Isn’t it most important to cultivate the ability to accommodate your role(?) ?

What kind of role would you like to challenge next?
As I’m merely a new actress who has only acted in 3 dramas, I still have a lot of things which I can show to the audience, and besides that, I’m only 25 years old. Of course I would not want to miss those roles which I can act in, given my current age as well as those roles which I can only act now. I’ve received a lot of good scripts recently and is happily reading them currently. However the details have not been decided. Compared to dramas, there are more stuffs in movies which I’m interested in, so maybe I’ll decide to act in a movie next time.

What are your feelings of being said that you have been taking on similar roles (in drama)?
I’m not afraid of taking on different roles at all. The public seems to like ‘transformation/changes’ in actors. I don’t feel that the Chae Gyung in Goong and Ji Hyun in The Vineyard Man are similar in any way, but after hearing a lot of people saying that the characters are a repeat of each other, I felt quite sorry (pity?). Maybe it’s because of that, there may be times where I force myself to have some changes. It seems like ‘transformation’ had become an obligation for me unconsciously.

It surprised me that the YEH in photoshoots for fashion magazines looked very different from the YEH we see in dramas and variety shows.
During those assignments (photoshoots) I’ll try my best to showcase the other looks of me which people seldom see. It’s very interesting. The feelings of being able to challenge myself to achieve a new look always allow me to be able to work happily.

How do you spend your rest/free time?
I mainly travel abroad. I especially like to go Japan. I went Japan half a year ago and at that time, I even brought along the outline for Coffee Prince to read (laugh). I’ve decided to go Japan again soon!

Words to say to your fans in Japan.
Coffee Prince is really a production which you can feel blissful (?). Wish that Japanese fans who have watched Coffee Prince can be blissful. Lets all feel the warmth (of Coffee Prince). Thank You~!

My search for the Ans :Who is the Mr Right for Yoon Eun Hye?

As I mentioned in my previous entries that I was captivated by Yoon Eun Hye's charm after watching her in Goong. So naturally, I was curious if there's anything going on between Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye off screen since their Goong hot kiss scene in episode 23 looked too convincing. I searched for videos related to Goong to see if sparks were also flying between them in real life and watched the BTS for Goong as well as the 1.5 special episode.
After watching all those, I thought that both of them behaved quite intimate even when they're 'off screen' (it's not really off screen since they were captured on the camera even during the BTS).
I also found a slow motion version of the passionate kiss in episode 23 in youtube. I can't remember who was the uploader, but the clip should be similar to the one at

After watching that slow motion version of the kiss, it made me further believe that they may be a couple since it seems like they were really engross and full of feelings during the kiss. I even watched the clip a few times(yeah, seems pervertic but thats the fact! they seems really into each other there. Some people even commented that there were tongue actions there)

But after reading all the comments left for the video, what really caught my attention was a comment that said there were tears from Yoon Eun Hye during the kiss. So, I rewatched the clip and sure enough, I could spot a stream of tear flowing down Yoon Eun Hye's cheeks during the kiss. (Its at 01:35 of the video). That really perplexed me. I thought Yoon Eun Hye really enjoyed the kiss with Joo Ji Hoon but if that was so, then why was there tears??? I tried reading other comments left there, but it seemed like nobody had the answer as to why Yoon Eun Hye cred there. According to the plot there's no need for her to shed tears at all...

Despite that burning question, I decided to move on and I found forums which had pictures of them sharing drinks, wearing couple clothes, behaving like they were really close and intimate etc.(I think its in soompi's Goong forum that I saw the infos and news. Not sure bout it though) I also read some rumours about them being spotted together in Bali (yes, it was confirmed that they both went Bali at the same time and even boarded the same plane, but they were there to do their individual photoshoots). It seems too much of a coincidence that they were going Bali tgt and there's quite a high chance that they would have met each other when they were in Bali to have a meal etc. So I was quite convinced then that there were something going on between our Royal Couple....

After that, I found Yoon Eun Hye's soompi thread and there were really soo many information there that I took such a long time back tracking all the post there to learn more about her. I was so busy caught up in absorbing all the information about Yoon Eun Hye and trying to research about her career that I forgot about her unusual relationship between Yoon Eun Hye and Joo Ji Hoon. (there were really lots of new things I discovered about her eg. She was once a member of a Korean Girl Group called BabyVox and she also attended quite alot of variety shows eg Xman and also other shows which she went with BabyVox. I collected lots of websites with videos and stuffs and spent quite some time going through all those in order to understand more about her).

During the process of researching and knowing more about her, I realised that she was a regular in Xman and watched quite a few videos of her in Xman. I was really surprised that she could dance so well since there was a dancing scene in Goong and she acted like she couldn't dance at all! When watching Xman, I saw that there were comments saying that KJK and YEH is a couple etc. But I read all those comments and thought that there were referring to Joo Ji Hoon(yeah, I didn't realised that there was another guy who was romatically linked with YEH earlier before Goong and thought all these people were referring to the same person). After reading more and more in soompi, I started to realise that there was another guy which is Kim Jong Kook (KJK) not JJH and Yoon Eun Hye and him was in a variety show called Xman. I watched videos of Xman uploaded and subbed by coolsmurf on Youtube and saw that quite a number of people were saying how Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye is so sweet and the best couple etc, but at that time I thought that Kim Jong Kook is not competible with Yoon Eun Hye at all!
He's not that good looking ( at that time, I thought he's really ugly) and does not look good with Yoon Eun Hye at all. I also found out that he's quite old too, so they're not really a suitable couple due to the age gap (she seems to be much more competible with Joo Ji Hoon). So I didn't think much about him and continued my journey to find out more about Yoon Eun Hye. I watched Kim Jong Kook's Saying I Love You MV which also starred Yoon Eun Hye and the BTS and there were people saying how sweet they were and whether they're really a couple etc. So Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye couple got my attention gradually(it seemed like quite alot of people know about Kim Jong Kook paring with Yoon Eun Hye, so it should be something worth looking at).I watched more and more clips of Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook together on Youtube and Kim Jong Kook started growing onto me gradually. I'm not sure why, but maybe its because Yoon Eun Hye seems to like this guy quite alot( at least on Xman). So I started downloading Xman episodes to know more about Yoon Eun Hye's character, as well as to see what going on between Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye. It took quite long for me to find the chinese subbed version of Xman and to download them all....

In the meantime while I was downloading the Xman episodes, I found a JoonYoon Chinese site which was filled with information and discussions as well and I read some of the posts there and realised that there's a possibility between Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook.... The more I read about the two of them ( in Soompi) the more I thought there's something going on between Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook and I became abit giddy over both of them(juz like how I was with Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye's relationship at first). After knowing more about the two of them, I watched Saying I Love You MV and the BTS(behind the scenes) again and felt that both of them looked really sweet together(I think I watched Saying I Love You MV and the BTS for ALOT of times but had different feelings everytime I watch it). At first I just watched it and thought its just a regular MV and nothing much. But after reading the analyse and discussions (on soompi (i think) and JYC chinese), I started to look at the MV more closely and follow the analysis made by other JYCs. True enough, the BTS and MV seems to indicate that they are really close and comfortable with each other. After looking at all the analysis, the two of them seems really sweet and loving in the MV and BTS. Besides that, there was also the news about Kim Jong Kook giving Yoon Eun Hye a humongous diamond ring and scooter just for starring in his MV. Well, guys don't just give girls diamond ring for fun...

Then there was a period of time which I only cared about all the updates of Yoon Eun Hye and all the news of her that was streaming in(I was quite busy with school work, so I spend quite little time online) I didn't really continued to find out more about her romance.

It was only recently that I rediscovered the Joon Yoon Chinese website/forum again and begin reading the posts there more carefully. The information available there and the discussions there about the couple got me hooked and I registered myself as a member there after realising that the Evidence section of the forum is locked and only members with more than a certain number of posts would be able to view them. So I began to read all the posts there and tried to post as much comments as possible in order to gain access to the Evidence section ASAP. While reading the post, I finally recalled that I visited the site before and read some of the stuffs there before last time.... The more I read and gather about Kim Joon Kook and Yoon Eun Hye as a couple, the more I believed that they are really a couple. I found the Asian Fanatics thread dedicated to JongYoon shippers as well and got some more information there. During these time, I started watching Xman in detail and try to spot everything on screen which pointed to them being a couple. Even though some people may argue that Xman may be scripted, but I think that the true feelings revealed during the show can't be scripted. The happy and sweet smile they had on their faces when they're paired, their remarks and comments which they made and jealousy they had when other people tried to come between them and all those can't be scripted. If its realy scripted, then I must say that they are really very good actor/actress to have gone to all the details to look just like a couple on screen.

I also started to like Kim Jong Kook more and more and now my opinion of his is that even though does not have the typical good looks, he's charismatic and quite cute. Its funny that such a muscular and tough looking guy has such a thin voice which don't suit him at all. Beneath the muscular frame is also a really shy guy at heart. So I started liking Kim Jong Kook and also his music as well.

Now, I've become a true hearted JoonYoonClub(JYC) and believe that Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook are lovers. I've setup a forum for all JYCs at http://www.jongyoon.at.tp/ to discuss and talk about the couple. But its down at the moment. I'm trying to move the forum to another host but I'll try to get it up ASAP. Will update here once its opened and available again.

Lastly I wanna explain why I didn't become a true hearted Hyoonie(JJH-YEH) shipper in the beginning.

1) When going through the evidences and posts which suggested that Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye are together, I realised that there were just too much PS-ed photos of them together. I would get excited upon seeing an intimate picture of them, but got disappointed after knowing that they are just PSed pictures. I must say the PS skills are really good and its really hard to see the difference between a PS-ed picture vs a real pic of them tgt.

2) There were alot of bubbles on the two and there's very little evidence on Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye. Evidence meaning REAL pictures and proofs and analysis of the possibility of the two of them.

3) There seems to be not much progress of their relationship after Goong. By progress, I mean real hard evidence/analysis.

I guess thats the reasons I didn't really follow up on the couple after that....

I just visited Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye's Asian Fanatics (AF) thread and read through all of the post and I'm quite amazed how their fashion sense seems similar(the couple clothings). The ring evidence also seems valid. But apart from that, there's not much other evidence I can find which point to them being a couple.... IF there's really good evidence that is posted I may just change ship and believe in the Joo Ji Hoon - Yoon Eun Hye couple, but there's not much evidence available..... Maybe Hyoonies have proof about JJH and YEH but ain't telling them, but I don't get why won't they wanna share the evidences if they are valid and sound ones.

To be truthful, If there's really evidences, I won't be so stubborn and blind as to still believe that Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook are together. But since all the information I can get led me to believe that Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook couple have a higher possibility (judging from the evidences presented from both the shippers) , I'll still think for now that Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye are together.

Regardless of who Yoon Eun Hye will end up with, be it Kim Jong Kook, Joo Ji Hoon or even some other guy( its possible!), I just hope that she'll find her MR Right and be happy with the guy. I'll still love and support her whoever she ended up with....


P.S I didn't really mention Yoon Eun Hye's other co-star in Coffee Prince, Gong Yoo coz I think that they are really just friends. I really like their sizzling chemistry in Coffee Prince and they are a great on-screen pair, but to me, there seems to be nothing more between them in real life. Maybe after all the acting experiences she gained, Yoon Eun Hye is more able to distinguish between her on-screen character and her real life, so she may be more aware of that and make adjustments to her feelings accordingly.

MBC Drama Awards 2007

I was really happy that Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo got the acting awards respectively. Yoon Eun Hye got the Top excellence award while Gong Yoo got the Excellence Award. Even though I've expected Coffee Prince to win big in this award, it was Legend which brought home most of the awards. I must say that Bae Yong Jun fans are really strong voters. Legend got all the awards which it is nominated for. Even the best couple and the popular female actress(netizen votes) goes to the actor and actress of Legend. I thought the Coffee Prince couple, Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo would get the best couple since their chemistry on screen where really good. And for the popular female actress, I thought Yoon Eun Hye would get it as well since her popularity had sky-rocketed since her performance in Goong... But I guess Bae Yong Jun's fans are really powerful.

What really surprised me during the award show is seeing Yoon Eun Hye coming on stage with Joo Ji Hoon to present the newcomer award. Its been quite a while since we saw the Goong Royal Couple together on stage but they still looked good together.

Yoon Eun Hye got the Newcomer award during last yr's MBC Drama Award for her performance in Goong and this year is Coffee Prince. This shows that she's has the acting skills and its been recognized by the officials as well. Hope that her next drama would also be as good as her past dramas and that her acting skills would improve some more in her next production and that she would surprise us more with her performance.

Well, after watching this award, I feel like watching Legend and just see how good the drama really is. Besides that, Time Between Dog and Wolf and Thank You also seems to be a nice drama. I may go watch them when I have the time.

Coffee Prince Review

Coffee Prince is gonna be aired on Channel U on 31st December from 10-11pm in Singapore! Though I've already finished watching the full series, I'll definitely catch it when it's shown in Singapore. Really love Coffee Prince for the cast,the characters, the really sweet lovey dovey moments between Han Kyul and Eun Chan and also the backgroud music which really suits the various scenes and bring out the mood of the scene. In most kdramas, we often see the conflicts between a couple but the sweet moments of a couple during their dating periods is often not covered. However in Coffee Prince, we get to see the dating process of Han Kyul and Eun Chan and how their relationship grew and developed over time. It reflects the tiny but significant problems and situations which may be faced by many couples in real life and this made it easy for the audience to be connected to the show.

To admit it, I'm really a big fan of Yoon Eun Hye after watching her act as Chaegyung in Goong and the main reason I watched Coffee Prince was also due to her, but her acting is really commendable in Coffee Prince.You can really see her transforming and maturation as an actress from Goong to Coffee Prince. Her acting as the tomboy Go Eun Chan is really convincing. She managed to ditch the cutesy and feminine image which is commonly associated with her and totally transformed into the Go Eun Chan we see in Coffe Prince. She acted the character of Eun Chan to ever little details and all her actions and movements reflects Eun Chan's character. From the way she talks(she makes her voice lower pitched), the way she sits to the way she walks (she changed the way she walks too!) all shows Eun Hye's dedication as an actress. She even cut the long hair she kept so as to suit the image of Eun Chan. There were also lotsof praises about her acting skills(both from the public, as well as insiders). Her dedication and professionalism is the reason for the popularity of Eun Chan in Korea, as well as the rest of Asia. It even created a Eun Chan phenomenon [credit: article as the clothes worn by Eun Chan, Eun Chan's hairstyle, the background music used in Coffee Prince and also the online searches relating to barrista increases in demand. Therefore its not too much to say that Eun Hye plays quite an important part in the popularity of Coffee Prince.

Besides Yoon Eun Hye, Gong Yoo, the male lead is also really important in the success of Coffee Prince. Gong Yoo is really suited for the character of Han Kyul. He managed to act out the deep and complicated feelings of Han Kyul when he had his internal struggle of falling in love with Eun Chan (whom he thought is a guy) and accepting himself as a 'homosexual'. Before Coffee Prince, I watched Gong Yoo's previous dramas and I find that the character of Han Kyul was quite similar to Tae In in Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy. Han Kyul seems to be the grown up version of Tae In as both of them are confident and certain of what they want, but they're also at the same time childish but cute. Han Kyul is more reserved as compared to more spontaneous Tae In, hence Han Kyul can be rightly considered as the more matured version of Tae In. We dont really get to see the acting skills of Gong Yoo when he was in Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy, therefore I thought he was juz an cute looking actor, with superficial acting skills. But he really surprised me with his ability to act out the perfect emotional struggle which Han Kyul was going through and he really touched me with his acting in Coffee Prince. His great acting brought Han Kyul alive and made Coffee Prince an enjoyable show to watch.

Besides the great acting skills from both Gong Yoo and Eun Hye, they also have an excellent on screen chemistry. The two of them make a perfect couple and I cant help but smile whenever there were scenes of Han Kyul and Eun Chan's sweet moments. Their interaction on screen seems really natural and convincing. Besides the sweet moments, the hot bed scenes as well as the forced kiss between them were really memorable scenes of them.

Apart from the 2 main leads, Lee Seon Gyeon character as Choi Han Seong was also nicely performed. Although Lee Seon Gyeon may not that good-looking as compared to Gong Yoo, he still has a charm in him which draws the audience. Choi Han Seong also may not be as interesting a character as Han Kyul, but Lee Seon Gyeon managed not to make the character dull. And did I mention Lee Seon Gyeon's voice?? I really like his deep and voice(i dunno how to describe them but his voice is so nice to listen to).

I think Chae Jung Ahn is pretty but I find her acting average. Up till now, I still dun fully understand Yoo Joo's character. Maybe that's how Yoo Joo was supposed to be like- carefree ,unconstrained and hard to fathom. Sometimes its hard to read her expression and understand exactly her emotions she was trying to convey.... I dunno, but this can also how the director wans Yoo Joo to be portrayed as....

Apart from the 4 main leads, the 3 Princes played an important role as well. The Princes each have their own unique character. Min Yeop- the strong muscular blockhead who is totally devoted and loyal to his angel Eun Sae, Ha Rim- the cute and adorable guy who always go "My Chan!!", and the cool waffle guy Sun Ki, who cant help but be infected by the warm-hearted Eun Chan, enthusiastic Ha Rim and silly Min Yeop. To add on, there's also Mr Hong, the other president of Coffee Prince. He's really disgusting and unhygienic with his actions but he's still a nice guy overall who is really supportive of Eun Chan. The development of the supporting cast also helped to make Coffee Prince more complete as a whole and brings a feeling of warmth into the drama as we see the interaction and strong friendship between all the characters in the story.

Besides the cast and characters in the story, the design for the setting of Coffee Prince is also nicely done. The design of the Coffee Prince cafe was beautifully decorated. Eun Chan's small and cluttered house always filled with dolls/boxes of food for work reflects how hard it is for her to earn money, Han Kyul's modern and sleek house reflects his decisive and confident character, Han Seong's simple house with the garden and greenary around showed his simple and sensible character. The recording equipments, cute music player which also acts as a decoration, the guitar and all the other equipments in his house also refects his job as a musician.

All of these required much effort and dedication. Therefore Coffee Prince is definitely a drama not to be missed because of its excellent production crew, actors and actresses and the refreshing approach.
